Pros
Working at Dog Academy is a really fun and rewarding experience. I started as a 1099 trainer and have been able to grow with the company as it’s expanded so quickly. It’s exciting to see a startup develop from the ground up and constantly roll out new systems that make things smoother for trainers. The team is super supportive — the Trainer Support Team is always available with helpful materials, phone calls, or quick email responses. The trainer community is also collaborative and positive, which makes a big difference.
Cons
Sometimes I get offered clients who are an hour or more away, but the nice part is that I have the flexibility to choose whether to take them or not. The app is still pretty new and, while it keeps improving, it does occasionally freeze or lag a bit.
