-awful accommodation in awful locations.
- Atmosphere in the school is negative and cliqué
- only get promotions if your friends with management.
- HR withhold your pay because of “bank error”
- HR deduct pay randomly.
- HR make up random policy’s and have no clue what they are doing.
The students by and large are pretty well behaved with a few outliers which is to be expected within any school. They generally perform quite well and you can get through to them when things don’t work out well. The parents for the most part are supportive as well.
Cons
Accommodation is one of the worst parts of the company. They put my wife, her mother and I into a studio apartment when the government requires at minimum 2 bedrooms for a family of that kind. Refused to change the accommodation and they don’t provide a live out payment to help. Had to use over half my salary every month to rent a place suitable for us.
The community is shockingly toxic. Regular comments about how the school doesn’t care for its staff. About how the leadership constantly changes. About how staff regularly leave. About a lack of resources. Me as a teacher in the DT department, didn’t even have half the tools or machines in working order or up to health and safety standards. Rooming issues and timetable issues all over the place.
SLT are not supportive and just look to blame rather than help in most situations.
