Pros

Unlimited PTO Bonusly incentive Remote first Some really bright people

Cons

Know that it is part of the onboarding checklist to leave a Glassdoor review...so basically you are there less than a month and they want you to review bc at that point you're still happy (ie many "great onboarding!" reviews) There was a big layoff in Feb 2025. Some really great people were let go. Some incompetent people were not. This is because all the company cared about was how they looked on paper, instead of actually caring about retaining employees who produced the best results. Regardless of what was communicated, the severance package was not "generous", but basically what is required to make sure there are no lawsuits. Typical 'tech startup' things like poor work-life balance, no great processes in place, and scattered management. Some do have a gravy experience due to having an easy-going manager, while others are working weekends to meet demands.

DoiT Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. DoiT did go through a Re-Org in February 2025 to right size our global team to better align with our new go-to-market and service strategies. As a result of these changes, a number of incredibly talented team members moved on from the company with our full support and generous severance. We care deeply about our current and former team members, and we also have an obligation to ensure we continue to scale the company with intention and strategies designed to ensure our continued growth and success. How we approached those changes - and who specifically was impacted - was governed by best practices and country specific employment laws. And as an aside, we do have an automated reminder for new hires to consider reviewing their interview experience with DoiT in their early days while its fresh in their mind, but this is not at all a requirement or anything managers follow up on as all reviews are anonymous. We're grateful for every Do'er that shares their experience, but there is never any pressure with regard to what is shared about interviews or broader employment at DoiT in general. I gather you were impacted by the changes this year and would welcome the opportunity to talk more if you're open to it? Please reach out at Kristen@DoiT.com so we can talk more. Kristen Tronsky, Chief People Officer @ DoiT

Pros

- Ability to execute: We have many talented engineers/sales/cloud architects who are open to questions/feedback. I am confident in our ability the achieve goals we set out. - Coworkers: The best part of DoiT is the people I get to work with. Genuine, smart, kind is the three words I would use to describe my colleagues at DoiT. - Work/Life Balance: I have healthy balance of consistent/steady work hours while having the flexibility to change my schedule as needed. Company is complete remote and is a great environment for anyone who wants to be able to spend more time with family and not in an office. - Product Differentiation from other Cloud Partners: DoiT's platform is unmatched when comparing to other Cloud Partners. Most cloud partners rely on 3rd party tools for FinOps, monitoring/observability, diagramming, etc... DoiT has a large engineering team dedicated to building these tools for the DoiT platform. - Bonusly: One of my favorite perks is Bonsuly, which allows us to recognize peers for great work. We are allotted points each month to give to our coworkers which can be exchanged for Amazon giftcards or donated to charity.

Cons

- Drawbacks of a full remote environment which are not exclusive to DoiT. Cross Collaboration among teams can be challenging at times. Working in different time zones offers less time online with colleagues living in other areas. Having too many slack channels for minor items to arrange communication. - Salary is on the lower end of competitive. WFH should taken into consideration when analyzing total compensation. DoiT does do annual bonuses and the benefits are very solid as well. So while I think total compensation is competitive, I do see other cloud partners offer higher salaries (~20% more) for similar roles. DoiT has made it a priority to focus on compensation plans and ensure they are adjusted to fair market value.

Pros

DoiT is a strong environment for people who like moving fast, learning constantly, and being held to a high bar. Ignore many of the negative reviews. 90% of them come from people who were not willing or able to keep up with a startup pace and were looking for a comfortable, low effort role. This is not that kind of company. There is a clear performance culture. Regular reviews, clear expectations, and accountability are real. People who do not perform are put on PIP, which is exactly how it should be. I want to work with high energy, engaged teammates who care about results and are willing to evolve. From a technical perspective, the stack is strong and modern. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you are not just a services arm. You are close to the product, influence real design decisions, and are encouraged to contribute back to the platform. That level of trust and inclusion is rare and genuinely motivating. If you are a high performer, curious, and self driven, this is a great place to grow and have outsized impact.

Cons

This is not a slow or relaxed environment. Expectations are high and the pace can be intense. If you want a predictable, low pressure job where you can coast, this will not be a good fit. Ambiguity is part of the job and not everyone is comfortable with that.
