Pros

The People (Hopefully chill) Smaller Store = Easier to remember where things are

Cons

Manager literally said there are no pay raise opportunities besides promoting to assistant manager or better. The Pay (at the time for me 2017-2021, it was 7.25. COVID came and it went up to $12, but then it went back to minimum wage after it was deemed safe to not wear masks) The Amount of People who call out and quit on the spot Be prepared to be asked for double shifts. Inventory is a mess(literally got too many of a product every week and no space in the back and in store to put it. Therefore it created a problem with the amount of boxes stacked in the back; so much that OSHA was on our behind for like a year)

Pros

Left to Your Own Devices: If you enjoy being entirely on your own without any meaningful guidance, resources, or support from corporate, you will get plenty of it here. Air Conditioning Works (Usually): The building generally has a roof and four walls, and the physical time clock successfully records your hours.

Cons

Leadership Transparency: A severe lack of professional transparency from upper management. Retaliatory Management Culture: There is a distinct disconnect between corporate feedback initiatives and district-level execution. Honest participation in internal leadership and company feedback surveys is not met with constructive dialogue, but rather with immediate professional retaliation and termination.
