Pros

This place made me as a developer. I could really get deep into the software and technology behind the artworks, both in terms of reliability, infrastructure, but also implementation, input/interaction, visuals, game engine and pipelines. Also good that there's not much of UI to develop there. All that fuelled by good coffee and good old true companionship around (I made actual friends there) and generally a positive attitude to problem solving and R&D. Great to learn many different things with the game engine that you normally wouldn't do in a game studio, and with the OS (Windows and Linux). Even if you have over 12 years of experience, you still get to play with actually advanced stuff there. Most of the product is designed and assembled in-house, so the team has a very diverse skillset by nature. The artist knows what he's doing with generally good understanding of the tech. You get a chance to contribute to the creative process very nicely, or even drive it, if you're confident enough to do so. All in all, a great place to work.

Cons

Long hours leading up to exhibitions or big custom deliveries. Especially if something is not stable. It doesn't go unnoticed or unrewarded, though. Salary not high, there's no standard company salary for the roles, so you kind of have to know your worth. Little regard to proper testing procedures and automation, especially frustrating when it concerns longevity. No dedicated QA. In the software team you're responsible to a lot of different things, and it's not possible to keep high standards in all. Lack of expert support sometimes.
