      Pros

      Great Pay and great team to work with. Relatively pleasant union to work with.

      Cons

      Superintendents on paper machines eliminated preventing a supervisor or process engineer from growing. No ownership of anything on paper machines. One engineer is swamped all the projects while the other twittle their thumbs. Shift supervisors left to run the show blindly, with no appreciation. HR is forgetting the H. Good ol' boys club in management. High Plant Manager turnover and short-sighted goals. Lack of accountability.

      Pros

      Close knit excellent maintenance teams that seem to do the impossible with the amount of understaffing over the years. Couldn't ask for a better place or people to work with. I have loved my time at this mill. Domtar has no idea at the quality of the institution\people that they are casting off into the abyss.

      Cons

      The corporation as a whole I am not a fan of. It seems they acquired Resolute FP to strategically dismantle it. They have closed several of the RFP mills and Coosa Pines an absolute institution that has been the backbone of the community for over 75 years is the next on the chopping block in May 2026.
