Pros

The other employees were good people.

Cons

After working for only one week, I was dropped. I kept calling requesting more hours but they never had any. Eventually, I stopped hearing from them and instead I received my vacation pay. So basically my employment was terminated without being told. Not a phone call nor an email to tell me that I was no longer working for them.

Pros

- It is a job that will pay you. - The schedule is extremely predictable. Those are bare minimum expectations,

Cons

-Constantly hiring despite not having work available to the staff they already have employed. - No formal interview, just asked "can you clean" and then told to fill out security clearance paperwork -Extremely long wait time to be assigned a contract (Two months) - Informally termination of staff but will keep them "employed" for a period of time for 'administrative reasons.' -Misled applicants about their security clearance status they were being given - Misled applicants about how much they will be paid. - Unclear communication in regards to if you are unionized (you are), who your union is (SEIU), who your rep is on site, how much will be deducted from your pay. - No SOP's available for fresh contracts, so you have to make your job up as you go along and you will be penalized for it. - Uniforms were not available prior to being assigned to worksite - Focuses primarily on federal contracts. - No opportunity for advancement. - It is said that you can work overtime but it is heavily frowned upon.

Pros

Lovely staff at the office and on site. They are friendly, chatty, and nice to one another. Often had lunches together and chatted in the parking lot. They genuinely want to enjoy their work atmosphere. Many opportunities to learn new things, and take on projects if you volunteer. Small end of year bonus. Occasional paid lunches/snacks or small tokens of appreciation.

Cons

Very traditional owner and operations director. They expect serious loyalty in ecahnge for very little from them. Office staff didn't work a day from home during the pandemic. They have very little trust for the cleaning staff - for instance they wouldn't share a payroll opportunity with someone who was studying in that field because they felt they would reveal the pay info to others.... Clock-in-clock-out on the dot mentality.
