I have reported this review to Glassdoor on a few occasions since 2019, as it does not apply to Dontech Inc. in Doylestown, PA. We have never employed a Sales Manager in Chicago, IL. There is however, a business with a vey similar name that is located in IL, commutable to Chicago. Unfortunately for them, this review may belong to that other employer.

Pros

It's a great low-stress work environment. Supervisors/managers take a lot of heat off employees, are helpful, efficient, and not pushy. They DO expect good work but in return give you the best effort on their part as well. There are good quality people throughout the company in every area from the top to bottom. Much better than previous employers i've had because they understand the human aspect of life. You can't put a pricetag on that

Cons

Every company can have small downsides as does Dontech. Honestly, nothing I can write here would be worthy of complaining about. Flexibility and respect are very prevalent. I've enjoyed my 4+ years of employment here thoroughly and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to continue!

Pros

If you're in the film coating department you can come and go as you please.

Cons

Where do I start. Their training program consists of two people who have no desire to help or teach you anything. They will berate and belittle you on a daily basis. The company loves to nickel and dime everywhere. Instead of 3 weeks vacation as they advertise, you get 14.25 days. You accrue time at the end of the month instead of every paycheck. You can't borrow or roll time over, so a vacation in the beginning of the year is impossible. All of management is either friends or family with the owner. Family members, friends, and couples work together throughout dontech. Donuts and pretzels are as generous as the company gets. Enjoy being treated like a child with little notes by the time clock stating to put your lunch away and hang up your jacket before clocking in.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are not used to receiving one star reviews so we are not happy that your experience working at Dontech was unsatisfactory for you, and that in your case, we failed somewhere along the line. Since you left, we have made the decision to accrue PTO on a biweekly basis, and that change is set for roll out for all employees in the month of August. We commit to reviewing market competitiveness related to all of our benefit offerings, including PTO, on a regular basis. In the past, including your tenure, we quoted the monthly accrual as 9.5 hours per month for a new hire in your role, and that does equate to 14.25 days per year at the start of employment. It is a rolling accrual beginning upon hire and is not tied to the calendar year. We will accelerate the accrual with the upcoming change to a biweekly accrual from a monthly one. We regret any misunderstanding related to our PTO accrual. We take all feedback very seriously, and it sounds like you may have more you'd like to discuss. Since we did not have an opportunity for an Exit Interview, I’d like to learn more about your perspective. If you’d like to continue the conversation, feel free to contact me directly at HR@dontech.com or 215-348-5010. Regards, Nancy Cascioli Human Resources Manager
