Pros
It is a professional environment without being stuffy. You would receive encouragement and assistance to expand yourself both professionally and personally. The president has an open door policy and is willing to listen to new ideas. This is a small office where close relationships make working as a team productive and rewarding.
Cons
There is not much turnover of employees in this small office. Unless you wanted to obtain a Series 7 and start selling there is not much room for advancement or salary increases. The company president is a busy savvy man (CPA, CFP) with great management skills and knows how to motive his employees without giving out large salary increases. As mentioned before, there is a slow employee turnover rate, so if you did not like the personality of a co-worker, you’d be stuck.
