Terrible organisation to work for. The worst experience of my life - Anonymous employee Drax Employee Review

The company has no long-term strategy. It has a terrible senior leadership team. Incompetent managers, promoted as a reward for being there for a long time. I had the worst line manager of my life by far. No clear roles. Above their level, a complete incompetent and absent person who had no idea of what was happening a level below theirs. Extremely inefficient company. Departments with no real function. There are too many incompetent people in important positions. Office politics happen everywhere but I have never experience such level! No meritocracy at all. Just clicking. Many people operating way below their levels just because they are there for a long time. So much money wasted in useless things: eg. flying people overseas in business class all the time to go to irrelevant conferences. All of this with subsidies. If they had to actually be efficient to be able to survive like most other businesses, they would learn. The only reason incompetent people are favored is because money from subsidies is too easy.
