I love to feel a part of an important mission, enabling owner-operation truckers to serve in port drayage at the Port of LA/LB. The leadership team is strong: each one is trustworthy, talented, and experienced. The fast-moving, dynamic pace is fun (if you're built for it!) Being fully-remote means more diversity of background; lots of interesting people!

Comes with the built-in downsides of (a) start-ups (future uncertainty, funding rounds, etc.), (b) the cyclical nature of the logistics business, and (c) the communication difficulties inherent in a fully remote company.

A lot of people I worked with were great people and hard workers.

Not an ounce of honesty or integrity with the men who are leading this company. COO's only real focus is getting rid of people. Through 4 rounds of layoffs the company went from over 130 employees to less than 20. Because both the CEO and COO have no clue what they are doing, they pay a "leadership consultant" to help them. He is the equivalent of a middle school soccer coach trying to help a struggling start-up. He literally has no experience. His contribution is telling people not to cross their arms when they speak. Everyone just smiles and nods at him and then talks trash behind his back. Zero value add. Everyone who actually helped build this company and advocated for the culture of the company are long gone. Overall, with all of the layoffs, the dysfunction, the lies, the selfishness of the CEO and shifty COO, this feels more like being in the middle of an American Greed episode than an actual job.
