Pros

Coworkers at my level (the bottom) were some of the best people I've had the privilege to work with. Truly the hardest-working, kindest group I've known.

Cons

I survived two rounds of layoffs that were absolutely horrific to witness. Handled in the worst way possible. Senior leadership brought on a bunch of their cronies from a prior job who single-handedly eviscerated morale, and any work/life balance that may have existed. The last manager I had was verbally and emotionally abusive. And despite going to HR multiple times, his behavior was allowed to continue unchecked. There was also a lot of clear favoritism for male employees.

Pros

I love to feel a part of an important mission, enabling owner-operation truckers to serve in port drayage at the Port of LA/LB. The leadership team is strong: each one is trustworthy, talented, and experienced. The fast-moving, dynamic pace is fun (if you're built for it!) Being fully-remote means more diversity of background; lots of interesting people!

Cons

Comes with the built-in downsides of (a) start-ups (future uncertainty, funding rounds, etc.), (b) the cyclical nature of the logistics business, and (c) the communication difficulties inherent in a fully remote company.

Pros

The salary, until they cut it.

Cons

By the end of my time there, literally everything was a con. My last manager was verbally and psychologically abusive.
