Pros

It's nice to work in Midtown and your co-workers are fairly friendly.

Cons

They tell you that you'll freelance for 3 months and then be brought on as a fully salaried employee, but no one approaches you after the 3 months is up and when you ask about it you'll be told something about how it's "not a good time." I worked there as a freelance writer and started around the same time as two other people, and around 4 months later they brought us all in and told us they didn't have enough work for us and let us all go but somehow had enough work to hire replacements. I can't imagine that this is for any reason other than to not bring us on as full time employees, considering the company is still in business and still providing the same services. We did get severance, though. But be careful, because you WILL wind up owing Uncle Sam a few thousand dollars come tax season if you work here. Believe me, they have no intention of bringing you on full time. Oh, and speaking of the writing, leave your code of ethics or any journalistic integrity at the door. That's all I'll say about that. Suffice it to say that as a writer you'll be sitting in a room with maybe 2 other writers and roughly 25 lawyers. It's also one of those 9-6 jobs, which isn't illegal or anything but is still not ideal, especially considering how overworked you are.
