The work culture at Drimify is supportive and collaborative, offering a lot of autonomy. There are plenty of opportunities for learning and personal development. The leadership, especially the CEO & CTO, fosters an open environment that encourages growth.

There’s a lot of work, but it feels rewarding. Being remote means I miss out on meeting my colleagues in person. There could be more structured team-building activities.

Remote working was nice for the most part, they provided the necessary equipment and I could choose what I needed exactly which they were open to, very flexible. Being able to use some interesting clients and their branding to create assets on the website was fun and it was always something different that I was a part of which was nice. The project managers and the other more senior graphic designer were friendly and more inviting, very communicative and always happy to have a chat. Also not having too many pointless meetings was nice to be able to get on with work at my own pace. The actual product is also very fun to use as a design tool. It was somewhat 'flexible' working hours, mostly between 9:00 - 17:30 with 30 or 1 hour for lunch.

Overall my experience with Drimify was not enjoyable in the slightest, it was almost impossible to stay motivated given the unfriendly, moody, cold nature of the superiors I worked with. Maybe it was to do being new in career, however they gave me completely unrealistic expectations which was completely unfair and would make me feel like I never did a good job. Regularly receiving unconstructive feedback with pointless adjectives that didn't mean anything despite the project managers enjoying and publishing my work, giving me praise. They do not have any sort of understanding of work life balance constantly pulling out the 'Start-up' card, expecting employees to sacrifice their personal time for them and having no understanding that quality work takes time. All they want is fast work and don't value truly high quality outcomes. At the start my superior was very laid back with deadlines etc, giving me a starter project explaining that it's okay if it takes a long time as it's understandable. Which I was happy about and with that time wanted to deliver something really amazing, however half way through the project after spending about 3 days on it, they completely changed the direction of the project meaning I would have to start again. They then began questioning why it was taking so long to which I told them that it was due to the change in direction which they didn't seem understanding about at all. With most of the work I was tasked with, it was a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth as it was never communicated to me clearly who exactly I should report back to despite me asking. I would send designs to the PMs and their superiors however I would constantly be receiving mixed feedback and complete art direction turns which would mean projects were delayed and often it was seen as my fault despite me explaining clearly that it wasn't. My comments were mostly met with negative, moody responses or sometimes just flat out ignoring. Sometimes messaging right at the very end of my work day and then being shocked that I wasn't there to reply as it was way past my contracted working hours. It was constant mixed messages, they said it would take months for me to really fall into the role yet after a month they expected me to finish projects within tiny unrealistic time frames. It was described that it was flexible working hours however when I would try to make use of this, it was met with very non-understanding remarks despite me explaining that I would work an hour less one day and an hour more another. Overall it just made a very toxic and at times felt like a bullying work environment. Despite the project managers, publishing my work and being really happy with the results their superiors seemed completely the opposite.
