Dye & Durham Response
1yThank you for your feedback. We are pleased to learn that you enjoyed the collaboration with your colleagues. This is a common theme in our engagement survey feedback so it’s great to see that being echoed here.
We are disappointed to learn that your experience at Dye & Durham has not been positive overall. Dye & Durham is a highly acquisitive organisation, and integrations are complex. We appreciate this may have an impact on our employees. Our first priority is to always onboard staff into our organisation and often this happens with great success. Some of our most senior, knowledgeable and talented leaders have joined Dye & Durham through acquisition. That said, at times, it does not make business sense to have duplication in roles or employees whose skills don’t fit into the organisational structure, and this can lead to restructuring. But rest assured, this is always a last resort.
We follow a structured annual review process that assesses performance ensure that pay increases are given to those who have successfully achieved their objectives in the previous year. We experienced several unexpected challenges in the calibration process this year which has resulted in merit being delayed. Email and verbal communication has been shared with all employees which clearly advised that any merit increases will be backdated to 1st September as per our normal process and that we are working diligently to have merit determined.
We are disappointed that you don’t believe Dye & Durham cares about our staff. We recently launched our engagement survey to understand the concerns, ideas, and level of satisfaction of our employees. We are now in the process of forming employee engagement committees to address the feedback collected as part of the survey. We agree that listening to our staff is critical to the future of the organisation and intend to use their direct feedback to improve workplace culture.
