Pros
I worked at the CMF base in Los Alamitos, CA. The flying and the maintenance are very routine and the work environment is fun. A lot of folks here with little experience just out of school or no turbine time. They have a great manager right now though and are open to suggestions on how things could be done better. There is movement right now to upgrade from an FO to Captain. Overall a great place to build multi-engine turbine PIC time. I flew 60-80 hours a month, that I was able to log as PIC, total time was pretty close to double that. You really get to know the LA airspace an ATC.
Cons
Lots of people in and out, some just want the turbine time and don't care about the maintenance. No night time here. A little cheap on the maintenance side of things. Minimum of one year commitment for no real training. Very diverse pilot group, some with lots of experience, some with very little. Still some attitude that the Captain is the pilot and the FO is just there because the company says he has to be.
