From old-fashioned management styles to a disenchanting work culture, there is a reason this company's monthly attrition rate is significantly higher than the national average. While this company claims to put their employees first, their actions scream a different story. During a meeting with upper management, scheduling was brought up as a concern. The suggestion that we allow the employees to have a preferred scheduled day off so that they can schedule their personal business and social affairs in advance was brought up. Although the scheduling software was able to intelligently decide days off the decision was made by the director of operations to still not allow the preferred day off unless an employee agrees to work every Saturday. Meaning, eventhough we couldn't decide a day off based on call center volume, we still wouldn't allow the employee to provide a preferred day off for consistent scheduling. The employees at this company are so unmotivated and not wanting to go into work that this company has to adopt one of the most relaxed attendance policies I've ever read. Even with the relaxed attendance policy, employees are still terminated due to attendance. Instead of trying to decide why the employees don't want to come to work, they simply modify the policy. I quit my previous job with the hope that a new company would provide exciting changes, but sadly, i was wrong. If you are currently unemployed and just need something while you look for a new job, i would recommend this. If you are currently employed, do not make the same mistake i did. While the grass may seem greener, it is actually fake grass. Underneath is is completely dead.
