Pros

There are some good employees in operations.

Cons

- Benefits are terrible. Worse in my working career. They are on level of retai, not a corp office. - No raises. - A push by management/HR to make them one of RVA best employers by feeling forced to vote. - Micromanagement by one employee who is basically running the company because upper management is too clueless to run the company. - HR is a joke. Ignored and takes weeks to get answers from them. - Outdated management thinking. Hybrid work is shunned upon even though they say they offer it.

Pros

They are a small company poised to transition into a much larger business. The opportunities here at the moment are big if you can get anyone there on board. The non-mangers all seemed very smart and super nice. With the proper leadership that team could really propel the company forward for a long time. Nothing but positive things to say about the few co-workers I worked with.

Cons

The company is run like a small mom and pop shop but the owners are making moves to grow the company rapidly. Normally a good thing but the current management is not capable of keeping up with the changes. Because management seems to be “in the weeds” and overwhelmed, they just end up getting in the way of actual progress. Noone talks to each other at the office. Most communication seems to take place via email even if the person is three cubes away. It is as quiet as a library and just has an odd and unwelcoming environment. The people in charge just do not seem to have the experience necessary to manage the team from that small mom and pop mentality to a larger business.
