Pros

Work from home. Nice management. Interesting work.

Cons

Strenuous to type so much. Not a lot of feedback or compliments on jobs well done. Sense of being disconnected from the company a bit. Pay is too low.

Pros

Dynamic Captioning has a lot going for it. It's stable, reliable, flexible. It pays a solidly average wage, and while more specialized than not, it's something anyone can pick up after a few months of working there. The benefits range from pretty good insurance to flexible use of office supplies to a snack pantry, and it's at most a thirty minute drive. The job is also very independent.

Cons

I think my only real complaint is that sometimes the work is grueling, and the moment you get used to a certain style of work, it changes on a dime.

Pros

Workload was fairly distributed amongst everybody in my department Fair pay, remote options were reasonable (I could work from home about 60-70 percent of the time, only needing to come in for specific meetings w/ clients or with senior staff, etc)

Cons

Hours were a little grueling, every hour of the 24-hour day needed to be covered by a Production Coordinator, so to start out I had to work many weekend evenings (Fri-Sun 4-midnight) which was grueling since often I'd then have to work the next Monday at 8am... took a toll on my sleep schedule
