Pros

DWT has a lot of growth potential, and open management that will listen to suggestions and ways to improve as a company.

Cons

There's a lot of hats to be worn since the operation is still small. There's also a lot of kickback - you use your own vehicle, your own gas, you pay for your own meals.

Pros

DWT allowed me to work as a laboratory technician part time while I was finishing school at ASU. After I graduated, they were more than happy to promote me to a full-time position. This is a review of my experience working part-time at DWT. This company is very team-oriented, what I mean by that is tasks are tackled individually by the employees who have time for the task. You will have your primary tasks, but do not expect to exclusively work on them. I enjoyed this because I got to learn so many parts of the business model and how the company operates. When I walked into work, I sometimes didn't know what I would be working on, I was never bored at work which I really appreciated. Something that also stuck out to me about DWT compared to my old jobs was how laid back everybody was about work-life balance. If you want to clock in and clock out at the exact minute and take every break by the exact minute, you are free to do so and there are many employees that do that. If you want to stack your luch break and one of your 15 minute breaks to run an errand, you can do that too. If you like to work hard and take a lunch break a few hours later than the designated time, you are free to do that. Nobody will deny you your work-life balance at DWT and I think it is one of the reasons why I accepted the offer for a full-time position here. A lot of people that work here have kids, leaving early to pick them up from school or take them to the doctor's office is not uncommon, as long as you are putting in your required hours every week. We have employees that show up very early and leave at around 3:00, we also have employees that come in later and stay until around 5:00. Nobody will bat an eye about when you come and go at DWT as long as your hours are met, and you are getting tasks done.

Cons

DWT is a smaller company, in total I think we have just under 20 employees. If you are looking for a company with structure and a definitive hierarchy this is not the company for you. If you have a task at hand, do not expect there to be a template or a guide on how to do said task, you'll have to ask around and then figure it out. Something that is also a potential con is that if you want to move up the ranks, you will have to travel. Travelling to see client sites and servicing systems is a pillar in the DWT business model. DWT has travel pay, per diem, etc. set up to encourage travel, so you will be compensated for it, but at the end of the day you are still traveling. Traveling is something that I personally enjoyed, at around 3:00 I was cut loose to do whatever I wanted at the hotel/city, and I considered it to be fun when I went. But I can completely understand why someone would not want to travel for work.

Pros

This company is flexible, great for the entrepreneur (self-starter) type, and has great opportunities for growth in a fast-growing company. I have made many great connections in and out of the industry. I have had the pleasure of visiting hospitals, power plants, data centers, semi-conductor plants, etc. and got to learn a little about how all of these places operate on top of what I’ve learned about the process water treatment industry, and I get to continue learning more every day. The principals act as mentors and always try to do what is best for their employees. Lastly, this company focuses on sustainability and doing what’s best for the environment, so you feel you are having a positive impact on the world.

Cons

The company is still figuring out a few things as any fast-growing start-up has to do in the first few years.
