Pros

Small company but most of the employees have been there a long time and hold lots of knowledge that they love to share. It's a very niche field but is very interesting.

Cons

Located South of Boston makes commuting a hassle or if you love near by your rent money doesn't go as far as you'd like.

Pros

The work is extremely interesting, you may even get to see the designs you helped revise or create finished in the warehouse. Pay was fair and benefits (PTO and holiday) were nice. Fellow engineers are all helpful and available for asking questions, and you will learn a lot about the Solidworks software and the engineering processes.

Cons

When it's slow season, it can be very slow for an intern. Most of the full time mechanical engineers work from home on Friday's, I did not have that option and it was therefore empty every Friday. Your schedule is pretty restricted to 40 hours or less per week.

Pros

Since there are very few standard processes there is flexibility to handle tasks as you see fit depending on your department.

Cons

Incompetent senior management. Friends of the previous owner placed in positions well above their abilities. Almost no standard policies. After acquisition by German company expectations are more convoluted and unclear and salary's are no longer competitive in MA. Insurance coverage is also worse now.
