Remember reading all those posts on internet about companies with toxic cultures, bad management and politics politics and more politics in their corporate culture? Yeah, Dyson somehow managed to have all of it under their roof. Think of a shiny golden Fabergé egg on the outside and rotten tomatoes inside, and you’ll get the picture. You’ll be treated like a number, you’ll be asked to work overtime, you’ll be pushed to work on weekends and stay away from your family. You’ll be asked to work during your holidays and while you’re sick. I’m not kidding or exaggerating. Prepare for it. And they’ll tell you, it’s harsh times and this and that and it’s for the greater good and for your and the company’s benefit to do so, but they won’t offer anything in return. They’ll thank you at the end. But you don’t work for thank you, now do you!? Your time away from the family will be lost forever, your holidays will be ruined when your phone starts ringing where they ask you to go back the work, because the top management Gods have to be satisfied, because the mile long train can never stop! You’ll be frantically bombarded with a “self-help” e-mails teaching you how to reduce the stress, how to cope with the symptoms. That’s your sign, right there, to ruuuuuun! Run as far as you can and get yourself a nice job, anywhere else, except here!
