Pros

basic GA work without dealing with "customers", generous with PTO

Cons

company is operated in an illogical and confusing way, pay is the bottom of the "acceptable" mark for the industry, will be called on to do non aircraft work frequently

Pros

Family-like atmosphere. Always willing to help you learn. Encourage you to use your strengths, while also providing learning opportunities.

Cons

The week of AirVenture is truly exhausting, but you feel proud when you're done.

Pros

-Met some amazing people that I am still friends with today. -Holiday shutdown was a nice perk! -AirVenture is a fun week and unique experience as an employee. - Working for a museum/airshow/membership organization provided interesting variety in work. - I received some cool flight experiences during my tenure.

Cons

Truly wild how the organization still functions based on the levels of dysfunction present internally. -The majority of the team I worked on quit or got fired during my time there-turnover rate was laughable. Concerns were expressed by numerous people but leadership prevented real change from happening. -Generally lots of petty drama. -Culture is very rooted in tradition and it was hard to see any change due to the "that's how we've always done it" mindset. -Little room for real upwards career growth, only lateral department movement (always a job opening somewhere when people quit/were fired). -Not a single ounce of diversity.
