Pros

Salaries are fair, and wellness Fridays are great.

Cons

Upper management is useless and clueless - nothing gets done. Culture is the worst, and no wonder either folks quit or get fired . The mental trauma is next level working in a constantly changing org structure.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear that you find our salaries fair and appreciate Wellness Fridays, which we introduced to support employee well-being. We take your comments about management effectiveness and the work environment extremely seriously. Maintaining a positive and supportive culture is a top priority for EDB, and we are committed to providing a stable, productive environment for everyone. While change is a constant at organizations growing as quickly as ours, we've tried to offer support through initiatives like the Growth Mindset Program, a recent Lunch and Learn session focused on strategies for navigating change, and others. We will continue looking for opportunities to provide employees with additional support. We value every employee and encourage you to utilize our internal support channels or reach out directly to our People team to discuss your situation confidentially. Our team is always there to help address your concerns and explore ways to make your current experience better.

Pros

- Access to several great sales tools and platforms - Decent pay - EDB is well respected in the Postgres community - Working to innovate quickly

Cons

- Most of the leadership lacks technical data expertise which creates friction in the sales motions and positioning. - Currently a small total addressable market. EDB does not compete well with cloud competitors and primarily is geared towards on-prem Postgres in a market that continues to migrate to the cloud. - High turnover across the sales org. - Long, difficult sales motion accompanied by expectations for quick wins.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and constructive feedback. We are pleased to see your positive notes on our tooling, compensation, and community respect. However, we take your concerns regarding sales turnover, leadership alignment, and our market positioning seriously. As the market evolves, we are continuously adapting our strategies and leadership support to reduce friction for our sales organization. We value this feedback as it helps us improve our internal culture and sales enablement.
