Pros

I had the privilege of working at Edmonds Elder for nearly 10 years and I can honestly say it was one of the most supportive, compassionate, and exciting environments I’ve ever experienced. From day one, I felt like I was part of a team that not only valued my work, knowledge and opinions but also cared deeply about my well-being. One of the most significant moments for me was during my maternity leave. I was nervous about balancing my career and becoming a new parent, but Tom and Craig made the transition as smooth as possible and I was hugely supported by the wider team, it felt like everyone was genuinely happy for me. They were incredibly flexible and they never made me feel like I had to choose between my career and my family. That level of understanding and empathy is rare, and it meant the world to me during such an important time in my life. Throughout my time there, I also faced personal challenges, and the kindness I received during those times was beyond anything I expected from an employer. Whether it was a kind word, extra flexibility, or just knowing that they had my back, I always felt like I was in a place where people genuinely cared about me as a person, not just as someone who did a job. Professionally, I couldn’t have asked for better opportunities. I was trusted to lead creative projects that pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to grow in ways I never imagined. They always encouraged me to think big, take risks, and develop my skills and that confidence in me was a huge part of my career progression. I truly felt like my ideas mattered, and that level of trust gave me the freedom to be creative, try new things and grow as a person. Each project felt like a genuine team effort, with everyone contributing ideas and supporting one another to bring out our best work. We worked collaboratively and were always encouraged to challenge and refine our thinking. I was lucky to work alongside such a talented and creative group of people, who made the process fun and rewarding and everyone was invested in each other’s success. I’m incredibly grateful to have had the opportunities I’ve had at Edmonds Elder, and I’ll always look back on my time there as a period of real growth and care - making life-long friends along the way!

Cons

Like any job, there were moments when you would be juggling several busy projects at once which can be challenging creatively, but what really stood out was how the supportive culture and integrated teams made a huge difference. We worked together to get through those times, helping and supporting each other to make things feel much more manageable.

Pros

Some really amazing and talented people to work with. Company produces some really good work.

Cons

Toxic work culture spread down from the top. Most places are busy but at EE you will fall into the trap of working outside of work hours and giving clients and co workers access to you 24/7. You will be lucky to receive any support at all and you will likely be penalised for trying to push back on unrealistic expectations. A great company if you are a workaholic and if you fit in with the type of person that makes it as a senior level. Not great if you have kids, family, friends or any other personal responsibilities/ commitments outside of work. There is also an extreme lack of professionalism amongst senior members. Sexist, racist and classist comments are made frequently and some team leads/directors will speak to you like you are subhuman and one has been known to be openly aggressive both in the office and during work events. You can complain but nothing will be done to help you unless you are liked by the "right" people.

Pros

Since the first day I started working with the team at EE, I’ve grown professionally by leaps and bounds. I joined with a fair amount of experience in my field but within the 3 years of working there, I dont belive I cold have grown as much or had better professional experiences elsewhere. You are surrounded by intelligent, caring and hardworking people and it rubs off on you very quickly. EE has always had a great mix of friendly colleagues with different personalties and backgrounds which never makes going into the office feel like a slog. Every birthday and personal milestone is celebrated, weekly expensed trips to the pub, opportunities to travel abroad for shoots as well so many team building occasions that never feel forced. The clients that EE attract are market leaders and there is perfect balance between creative and corporate clientele that really diversifies your week. Whilst there are busy periods that can be demanding and unexpected (as is the case with all agencies) management leads by example, and seeing senior colleagues and even founders get as stuck in as anyone is very assuring and motivating to see. However my favourite part about working at EE is that your hard work never goes unnoticed, you are always appreciated for going the extra mile and getting that positive feedback frequently makes all the difference and has always really resonated with me. Its also a place where you can really map out a plan for your career and see steps get actioned to help you reach that. If you’re someone who wants to grow in your career and push yourself to new heights and have fun with your colleagues along the way, EE is the place to do it.

Cons

You need to show a huge amount of restraint to avoid over indulging in the frequent amount of sweet treats/birthday cakes that can be seen on a weekly basis.
