Pros
I had the privilege of working at Edmonds Elder for nearly 10 years and I can honestly say it was one of the most supportive, compassionate, and exciting environments I’ve ever experienced. From day one, I felt like I was part of a team that not only valued my work, knowledge and opinions but also cared deeply about my well-being. One of the most significant moments for me was during my maternity leave. I was nervous about balancing my career and becoming a new parent, but Tom and Craig made the transition as smooth as possible and I was hugely supported by the wider team, it felt like everyone was genuinely happy for me. They were incredibly flexible and they never made me feel like I had to choose between my career and my family. That level of understanding and empathy is rare, and it meant the world to me during such an important time in my life. Throughout my time there, I also faced personal challenges, and the kindness I received during those times was beyond anything I expected from an employer. Whether it was a kind word, extra flexibility, or just knowing that they had my back, I always felt like I was in a place where people genuinely cared about me as a person, not just as someone who did a job. Professionally, I couldn’t have asked for better opportunities. I was trusted to lead creative projects that pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to grow in ways I never imagined. They always encouraged me to think big, take risks, and develop my skills and that confidence in me was a huge part of my career progression. I truly felt like my ideas mattered, and that level of trust gave me the freedom to be creative, try new things and grow as a person. Each project felt like a genuine team effort, with everyone contributing ideas and supporting one another to bring out our best work. We worked collaboratively and were always encouraged to challenge and refine our thinking. I was lucky to work alongside such a talented and creative group of people, who made the process fun and rewarding and everyone was invested in each other’s success. I’m incredibly grateful to have had the opportunities I’ve had at Edmonds Elder, and I’ll always look back on my time there as a period of real growth and care - making life-long friends along the way!
Cons
Like any job, there were moments when you would be juggling several busy projects at once which can be challenging creatively, but what really stood out was how the supportive culture and integrated teams made a huge difference. We worked together to get through those times, helping and supporting each other to make things feel much more manageable.
