Friendly and professional colleagues. Great work-life balance. Great flexibility in how you do your job.

No career growth perspectives. Lack of communication between different teams. No benefits and compensation overview (not transparent). Chaotic project management with little requirements mapping.

Pros

Working in HR at EFFECT Photonics, Inc. has been an exciting and rewarding experience. I manage a variety of responsibilities, from implementing policies, performance management, employee relations, employee development, talent mapping and overseeing recruitment, all within the fast-paced and dynamic startup atmosphere. The variety of tasks keeps the role engaging and collaborating with such smart, talented people makes every challenge an opportunity to grow and contribute to the company’s success

Cons

Working at a startup like EFFECT Photonics, Inc. definitely keeps you on your toes! With limited resources and a fast-paced environment, things are always moving quickly, which can sometimes feel overwhelming. There’s a lot of uncertainty and constant change, and with processes still being developed, things can get a little chaotic. But that’s part of the fun – it keeps the job exciting and provides plenty of opportunities to be creative and adaptable!

Pros

HR was nice, but not much positive I can say other than that.

Cons

Maynard office is very toxic, people leave quick. Don't suggest to join them unless super desperate. They are not so capable of what they advertise to be honest, because of that there is a temptaous work environment, managers are fighting before their team, people place blame each other. They don't have technical depth in finer optic communication. Mostly logistics at high level.
