Managers/Leaders you deal with actually run the company. They understand the challenges of being contractors under big navy control. They do their best to take care of you and run interference.

You're a contractor = 2nd class citizen as compared to GS's. Every contract is awarded to lowest bidder so money is tight. Most employees take advantage of opportinty by getting experience and a security clearance and then looking to move on to higher paying jobs elsewhere. It's the nature of the biz. Corporate support when needed seems overwhelmed and a bit disorganized. Similar to other small businesses that I've worked for.

Company has a good reputation with the client base.

Performance reviews are not always timely.
