Pros

ENSCO provides staff with a broad range of hands on experience you do not find in larger companies. Engineers are regularly exposed to the complete product lifecycle and are able to see the fruits of their labor applied in real world safety applications such as chem/bio monitoring or prevention of train derailments. Most projects are focused on new, complex problems that have not been previously solved. Ideas are welcome and some groups in the company have events like Innovation Friday's that allow Engineers creative time to explore new ideas which can blossom into full R&D projects.

Cons

Solving complex problems and breaking new ground is not easy - driven employees need to pace themselves at ENSCO to ensure they avoid burnout. The Company is very supportive of ensuring staff are not overworked.
