Pros

Company pays employees' portion of insurance.

Cons

Company touts that they have working software solutions for various sectors This is not the case. Most of the products are only developed when a customer shows interest. At that point, company makes an effort to "mock up" a demo. Took a HUGE cut in pay to work from home. The Owner, and several of the employees (mostly family members) are allowed to work from home without prior notice. This does not go for employees that are not family members. No training involved. Personnel that were supposed to train where either traveling on other training jobs or visiting with clients. Programming team is in India delaying timely turn around for fixes submitted. Owner determines which fixes the programming team will address. Bottom line, customer that protests the most is the one that gets programming attention. If your client is not the one that is raising the most ruckus, then the fixes that you submitted will not be addressed, eventually leaving you with an angry customer and no ability to provide proper customer service. Demos to potential clients are almost always botched by Owner. Errors pop up when running through demos which of course leaves a bad taste for any potential client. End result; no new clients, just expansions of existing client's projects. Feedback from customers is not positive. Many have not paid because the product that was promised has not been delivered. This puts more pressure on staff without the option of delivering promised products to their clients unless owner decides that customer's complaint(s) are Advancement opportunities are not available; company does not know the direction they are going in but rather "wings" it. Current personnel have NO actual experience in the energy business, only software. Energy industry nomenclature is commonly misused which is unacceptable. Company is run like a dictatorship. Personnel doesn't have the capability to even order a mouse without Owner's approval.

Pros

None, none, none, none, none

Cons

We agreed verbally to a salary on an initial phone interview for some remote work. They wanted to see a new architecture for their app (EBB). FOUR MONTHS of going back and forth, and after being strung along to believe I'd be hired on full time if I showed them what they wanted (which I did), They did not get back with me...I FINALLY got in touch, and they were like, "well, we can't pay anywhere near the amount you are asking". So I invoiced them for the hourly rate we agreed on times the 128 HOURS I put in on it, and they REFUSED TO PAY ME! Lesson learned on my part, don't trust them on their word. Rather than even try to compromise, or at least offer SOMETHING after reneging on the job, I got a crappy excuse that they believed I was doing all this for free, or as an attempt to get a job (which I DIDN'T GET, because they went back on the original amount that we talked about ON THE FIRST PHONE CALL, saying they "can't afford me" because I would be "making more than anyone there"....WELL, that could've been metioned FOUR MONTHS EARLIER...also, not my problem. I don't care what they make, we talked about an amount up front, and I was STRUNG ALONG FOR FOUR MONTHS!! Somebody is ALWAYS trying to get something for nothing. Scammers. BEWARE!
