Pros
Everyone I met on the blue collar side was quite experienced and knowledgeable in their field.
Cons
I mentioned in interview about my single parenthood and that I have obligations and responsibilities outside of work. I was assured that it was understood and that it wouldn't be an issue. It took two weeks for them to tell me last minute that I was scheduled for a unknown length shift in just over 12 hours. When I tried to assert myself about not being about to work because of familial obligations, I was answered with much unprofessional, unrealistic, and unreasonable attitude. Take it to HR right? No, there you'll get the professionalism, but you're still gonna a lecture about how somehow employers are like family and deserve equal consideration and that people who succeed make sacrifice. Also they have very vocal staff about not discussing wages, compensation, such. Even have it in employee handbook, that you can't discuss your personal payroll information, internally or externally, lol.
