We value you taking a moment to share your thoughts with us. We hope we can give some additional context that might bring clarity and support to your career. At EPAM, we aim for employees to build strong partnerships with their leaders and to have the professional autonomy to approach their work and make technical decisions within their projects, supported by managers. We are sorry to hear this did not match your experience and would be glad to learn more. If you are open to it, please contact us at Glassdoor@epam.com or via our Ethics Hotline at https://ethics.epam.com. We also understand that compensation and career growth are important topics. Compensation trends are shaped by a range of factors, including shifts in demand for specific skills, changes in the tech industry, and the broader economic climate. We strive to balance these market dynamics with a fair compensation and recognition for contributions. For example, while extra-mile activities like interviewing and mentoring are optional, they are rewarded under our company policies and the Extra-mile Contribution Bonus criteria. We encourage you to discuss your contributions and eligibility for rewards with your manager. We're glad to read your positive notes about work–life balance, the opportunity to change projects, and our in-house courses. We recognize the importance for our people to choose their work format, and we aim at keeping it flexible with remote and work-from-office options. Working with global clients also adds flexibility to change projects and even domains. Our learning ecosystem is highly recognized by our employees and global awards, and we are glad your experience aligns. Thank you, again, for this honest feedback — it’s important for us and for anyone interested in joining our team.

Pros

Interesting projects, high tech standards and internal knowledge sharing, and a rich representation of all possible Slavic accents.

Cons

Engineering-first culture results in obnoxiously fragmented internal tech platforms because errybody wants to build it themselves. Not a big deal, just engineers doing what engineers will do.
