Pros

Remote working. Decent salary. Excellent colleagues. Plenty of learning opportunities. Varied projects.

Cons

Epam offers numerous opportunities, however, the process of securing a project is ridiculous and something that you should be aware of before thinking of joining the company. Every project you apply for has a competitive internal process to secure a place in a project, this is because there are usually a lot of people on "bench" waiting for projects. This often involves an additional internal technical interview, beyond the original job interview, as well as potentially a client interview. This repeated validation of skills within the same company seems excessive and suggests that you don't trust your employees. Yes, this is for every project. So unless you bag a long-term project, expect to go through this stress every 2-4 months. Whilst the company prides itself on employee welfare, this often feels tied to project involvement. I've observed numerous instances of staff being let go due to project unavailability, even soon after hiring or successfully completing probation. This approach sometimes results in employees feeling like commodities rather than valued individuals. The quality of management varies significantly. Some managers excel, while others struggle, largely due to the dual expectations of project involvement and managing large teams simultaneously. This overextension can negatively impact the employee experience. Finally, the recent reduction in employee benefits, letting go of hundreds of staff and a massive drop in available projects raises concerns about the company's financial stability. Overall, while there are positives to working here, these issues are worth considering for prospective employees.

Pros

You get exposure to the very latest technology, and the company is implementing it in impactful, real-world ways. Even if you're not in a tech role, you naturally build deeper understanding in the latest technologies that you may never get exposure to at other companies. Truly global. Even for employees not in global roles, you still get good visibility into the company's global scale and impact.

Cons

Too much process around approvals which reduces speed of execution. Asked to step-up but then insufficient support provided. Two-faced behaviors of managers has become acceptable.
