Pros

Many of my colleagues there were the reason to get up and go to work in the morning. I think there is an attempt to appear to be a cool place to work, offering the occasional BBQ or pizza lunch, but these things fall short.

Cons

They have people in place who have been there 10+ years and if you fall into the category of being one of management's favorites then things will go swimmingly for you, but if you aren't on the "A" team, then be aware of their little lapdogs. These people (I hesitate to give them that much credit) will pose as your friend and pretend to be social toward you, but bottom line is they are just looking for dirt to run and tattletale on you the moment they are rubbed the wrong way. In my 20 year career I have never seen such blatent cases of these lapdogs throwing people under the bus. The issue with it is, that management totally buys into it and if one of the lapdogs badmouths you, you are instantly placed on the "bad employee list" They pretend to be flexible, but please note these rules only apply to a select group of individuals. For some people it's OK to work from home every Friday, but for others it is NOT. For some people it is OK to work from home 2 days a week, but for others it is NOT. It's not a two way street there by any means. They expect you to work a ton of hours and if you don't, you will not be on the "A" Team. There is a person in place in HR, but there is zero confidentiality with this individual. They gossip constantly with one of the lapdogs and even when I didn't have much of a relationship with her, she told me all about someone who was paying child support to their ex. Plus, if you go to this person to voice a legit concern, she will likely tell you to "settle down and you are over-reacting" The people they promote into management positions (director level) have ZERO management skills, and just because they put their time in, it doesn't mean they know how to handle clients or motivate a team to work.

Pros

They know what they want. When creating video content (whether shooting or editing), having an employer who communicates well is a huge bonus.

Cons

The only con, if I have to list one, is that they are mostly based in Michigan, so I rarely get the chance to interact with folks in person.
