Pros

Some great teammates . . . before they all left too. Starting salary is decent, but don’t count on any meaningful raises.

Cons

Car Rental Division. Absurdly large claim counts. 160-200 claims. I’m serious. And it’s a salaried position, if you want to even ATTEMPT to stay above water, plan on putting in an extra 20-40 hours a week. You don’t have to, but you’ll just be punishing yourself, because you are essentially in charge of all aspects of the claim. Then your team lead, who likely is a micromanager, except 1 or 2 of them, will be on your butt several times a day asking if you called all the people back who you didn’t have time to call back the first 3 times. They won’t offer any help. They go on a liquid lunch once a month on the company dime. The management will want you to take on additional responsibilities to “add to your tool belt” (bodily injury) yet not offer any sort of pay increase at the time OR at your annual review. Seriously. Well, unless you are a man - I’ve heard they do a LITTLE better. Hope you like the salary you were hired at. The manager says he has an “open door” policy, however if you attempt to discuss your wage, large claim count, etc, he’ll just explain everything in business jargon and talk over your head with tech-speak. Training? HA!!!!! Good luck. If you’re cute you may be rewarded with training responsibilities (minimal knowledge and experience? doesn’t matter!) so then your claims get turned off for a few days at a time. MOST quality adjusters fled long ago, you’re better off at Farmers! Don’t be the next sucker!

Pros

Enjoying it - no one breathing down your back for the most part. Supportive team.

Cons

Heavy workload. Leadership doesn’t seem to understand the work load as they are just delegating however I don’t let that bother me.
