(You learn dos and don'ts via word of mouth) *Too many employees assigned to one supervisor—very little contact or actual supervision given to individual employees. *No information given about child's abilities prior to assignment. (I understand there are legal reasons, but maybe a week before school meet up is in order.) *Supervisors do not know (or know very little) individual students being cared for by hired staff. *Little understanding about taking days off (when this is a position designed to have substitutes readily available.) *Little urgency to find substitutes if one does not fill the slot. *20 hours of outside training required each year to continue working for MisisonOne (besides online modules, nothing is provided or suggested. You're pretty much on your own.) *No performance-based raises offered. *Employees feel like warm bodies rather than valued professionals.
