Pros

-great learning experience for new engineers -learn about the automotive and plating industry with very knowledgeable vendors. -helps develop critical thinking skills, and you get a lot of responsibilities very quickly. You end up being responsible for things in 6 months that engineers at other companies might require 2-3 years experience -many opportunities to make an impact and improve the process if you put in the effort and time

Cons

-pay is very low per an hour if you are college educated, but the economy is kinda bad right now so eh -communication is lacking, and safety is something you have to prioritize on your own since others won't catch it for you -this isn't a place to stay long term. Everywhere else in the industry could be 2x or 3x your current salary in a similar position. You will need at least 1-2 years of experience -establish boundaries early on as it is easy to be taken advantage of. Also doesn't help that the pay is low and you see many other people are struggling and feel guilty -limits to the technical transferable skills to build if you try to transition industries beyond the basics, so best to put more emphasis on building your soft skills, how you interact and lead others
