Back into the office for a job that could easily be done from home is pointless. The commute wastes time, the costs pile up, and the supposed productivity gains are so minimal they barely exist. Management seems more focused on control than results. On top of that, the tiny fake 2% raise they hand out: if you’re even lucky enough to get one. Covers nothing, it doesn’t make a real difference, and it just adds to the sense that your time and effort aren’t respected.
