Pros

The office has a decent messroom. Free coffee, tea and cereals. They try to provide a healthy and ergonomic work infrastructure with what seems to be a very limited fund, or is it? More flexible hours compared to what's on the market at the moment.

Cons

I've seen this company grow from a start-up to a mid-size business. But unfortunately, the Mauritius administration seems to be incapable of doing their job properly, ethically, efficiently and impartially. This has made the working environment so toxic that all the good elements in the company are just leaving. What is happening in the Mauritius office is really really shocking when you think about the parent company's group policy about corporate governance, the zero tolerance against retaliation, discrimination and harassment... I don't understand how these things are still happening, unsanctioned, in the Mauritius office. Employees are kept under constant mental pressure, some of my colleagues even got threatened by their team leader but somehow, this goes unsanctioned. There is obvious evidence of abuse of authority from a certain number of mid-level managers in the company, but no matter how many people complain through their so-called "proper channel", nothing is done, those actions still go unsanctioned so far. There has even been complaints about sexual harassment, but still no sanctions taken. Racial discrimination is so obvious in this office, and no one can do anything about it. The way things are going makes all employees believe only 2 possibilities: - Either the parent company approves of what's going on here; - Or they know nothing about it, everything is being covered up by the senior management locally. This place has lost its sparkle. The majority of employees lost their motivation and are just waiting to get a better offer somewhere else. That's really saddening, to the point that it's becoming disgusting. When you think that this is about a CSR company who's supposed to be advocating for Corporate Social Responsibility.Management people seem to have inferiority complex, always reminding that they are the manager, the team leader, that they are the boss. Nobody is allowed to outshine them, they take ownership of all good achievements from their team and team members, and almost never show recognition. They look like a bunch of amateurs who don't even know what they are doing. They seem to be stuck at the level of a startup, clinging to their job position fearing that if somebody outshines them, they'll move above them in the company hierarchy. They are some selfish, irresponsible managers who only think about them and forget about how the company should benefit from having a happy, healthy and efficient workforce. They don't see the impact on the working environment. The people standards have lowered, the average EQ levels look as low as the price of petrol during the 2020 pandemic. This is really bad publicity for the company. Their image as an Employer in Mauritius is not something I would be proud of. I really hope that the company shareholders do something about it, because this company has a lot of potential. It's just being wasted by some people who do not have the proper skills, knowledge and professionalism to make proper use of it. Not to mention that they make the company look soooo cheap and stingy. Some suppliers and service providers do not want to work with the company. This is proof that not only their image as an employer is below average, their image as a customer as well is compromised.

Pros

Fantastic people dedicated to a great mission Loved my team

Cons

Have you ever been in a toxic relationship before? Where you're enamored with this thing and you keep trying whatever it takes to make it work? You give yourself entirely to whatever it may be - job, person - and you realize at the end that you're better off without them? That is what EcoVadis was to me. I considered this company a dream job when I first got it, but after 2+ years I have realized I'm doing better elsewhere. The culture is trending downwards, the leadership is in an echo chamber (it seems leaders are only hired from Salesforce - nothing against Salesforce, but it didn't create a holistic leadership team), product is expensive, it is considered a nice-to-have by customers and not a vital core offering, the micromanagement is increasing, 0/30 NAM sales reps hit quota in 2024, and top reps are leaving either willingly or being put on PIPs. Morale was at an all time low when I left, and doesn't seem to be getting better. Listen, I've been in your shoes before, reader. You see a disgruntled employee going to town on their ex and you think, well it won't be the same for me. And I hope it won't, because this company does make a positive impact on the world, and I do wish the best for it, but right now the North America sales team is not where I would advise you to go.
