I enjoyed the staff discount and interacting with colleages. A great advantage was learning about business structure in terms of personnel and overall operation of a corperation.
Cons
Sadly , before I joined I was sold dreams that the position would be creative, and I am of the arts so I believed that and I was excited to join the company. It was the opposite of what was described unfortunately. If you enjoy endless meetings and discussion that go nowhere slowly, little to no input in decision making, mountains of unnecessary admin and overcomplicated processes. Let's not forget the ancestors who refuse to evolve. Then edcon is the company for you. As mentioned previously, procreed with caution if you are a creative and enjoy some autonomy.
