Pros
The People Are Awesome - Everyone at Edison Energy is warm, friendly, fun, and gets along much like how a family does. Everyone goes out to lunch, takes walks together for short breaks, and even organize happy hours every now and then (for after office hours of course). Management is also great, they actually care about our well-being. Jay, the CEO, is always upbeat and interacting with us. He sometimes quizzes us on our core values so we are always prepared if he does.
Goal Oriented - Every department has goals that are tied to their individual performance as well as the company's core values. I love that my performance is looked at by management and I'm told how I'm doing. Feedback is really important to me because I am still growing in my career so I like knowing what's expected and meeting my targets.
Start-up Vibe - I like fast paced environments so I love being in a start-up company like this. There are so many projects to work on and I get to flex in different areas where in most more established environments I'd be siloed. It allows me to learn and collaborate with different groups.
Benefits - We get 3 weeks vacation plus floating holidays, tuition reimbursement, health benefits and 401k from day 1 at the company. Plus, there is always tons of food around and a modern open concept office vibe.
