SEAPAC management is deeply flawed- Its MD lacks leadership skills, competent business skills and is incapable of fostering a cohesive team. Functional teams are disorganized and struggle to work together inter/intra teams- Their leaders lead with authority rather than skills or wisdom, they are not trained for their roles. The outrageously high turnover rate (many strive to leave after hitting 1 year) and lack of role continuity are astonishing and reflect poorly on higher and global management, who have ignored these issues for years, relying solely on the strong sales of the Macallan brand to showcase company performance. New joiners (executive-managerial rankings) should be prepared for an unwelcoming environment and culture.
The company perceive themselves to be on par with global MNC levels, but in reality, they have a toxic local SME management style and culture.
