Pros

Most of the people who work here are amazing. It's like being in the middle of a warzone. You bond with your squad! Also, the work is sometimes cool. Being completely overworked means you will pick up valuable skills like time management.

Cons

If someone leaves (which happens often, the turnover is awful), expect for the company to not hire someone new but instead to dole out the position to other people there. This is a company that promises great opportunities and growth. The only thing that grows is your responsibilities over time. They will promise you the moon and then deny it completely. They will promise you a raise and promotion and take it away and claim you didn't earn it, 5 months into the new role. ED&D treats all of their employees as expenses to their bottom line while at the same time trying to make the company sound like the greatest thing ever. They expect employees to work 50+ hours a week without any flexibility or recognition. Everything is micromanaged by the heads of the company, down to the minutia (desk placement, Staples orders, etc). ED&D has had multiple OSHA cases against them and makes the changes until the case worker leaves. Then they revert to their unsafe behavior. This place is a horrible environment. Management plays mindgames with you. You will never advance, you will never get paid your worth and they will expect you to give your all without a word or penny of gratitude. They treat their employees with children with a daily late report and tardies and don't allow their employees to take their vacation days unless it works with the higher ups' schedules.

This particular employee felt his job was to undermine management. If you are so disgruntled, why stay for 3 years? The reality is this employee openly argued with other employees, loudly, and is the most negative human being I've ever employed. I was not responsible for hiring him and found him to be almost impossible to manage. He is a negative person and I try hard to surround myself with positive people. The sky is always falling with him. NOTE: There has NEVER been a single OSHA case against this company, that is a blatant lie. Nor is there any "unsafe" behavior. There are no "mind games"...if you are not good at your job, it is true, you will not advance. The fact we have been at maximum production levels for several years now attests to the fact that we strive for excellence at all levels. We have numerous employees that have stayed with us for more than 12 years; including some that joined us as interns while still in college. And yes, we do tend to act "Silicon valley-ish" as both founders grew up there and our famous customers operate there. He fails to acknowledge the fact that the Upper Management is the same people that created the company from scratch, then won numerous FAST 50 awards plus an INC. 5000 designation for Fast Growth. But, we're "holding the company back" LOL We've become the world's #1 brand for Product Safety Test Equipment because we are in fact a great company to work for.
