Micromanagement sums up my experience there. Sprint planning is broken down into 30-minute segments, but in reality, people can't change their mental processes within that timeframe. It takes an entire day to plan sprints because of this problem. The company is not accustomed to Agile, and they show no interest in trying it out. Although they use the terminology like Scrum and Sprint, they don't apply the real meaning behind them.
