Pros

It may help career changers decide whether teaching is the correct choice before going through the time and expense for certification. It may also help teachers determine grade level preference.

Cons

The pay is very low. There are no benefits or workers compensation. My thumb was broken while teaching gym. I could not afford medical treatment. Other subs had similar experiences.

We do provide workers compensation coverage when an injury happens on school property while you are performing your duty as a substitute teacher. These injuries must be reported in order for us to make appropriate arrangements for workers comp to cover any required medical treatment. We now provide one-on-one coaching to all our substitutes to support them in the classroom with all areas of instruction and classroom management.

Pros

Good communication via e-mail. They do pay you overtime even though they fight you before they do.

Cons

They do not sell what they market. This company got me onboard for low pay and have me believe that after a full year with them, they'll pay for my master's. Once, I got to the school they say :"we never heard of such thing". So ask questions, lots of them and ask for written statement before going on-board.

The program you are referring to is the Relay Graduate program. That program was being offered at the school you serviced, however, funding was delayed and enrollment was paused. There was nothing we could do on our end to ensure entrance into the program we could only share the information that was given to us by the school. We apologize for the confusion and understand the disappointment in not being able to enter the Relay program.
