Pros

Working at Edwards Lifesciences was a valuable experience in many ways. I appreciated the opportunity to be part of a company with a meaningful mission, and the technical aspects of the role as a BI developer were interesting at times. Compensation was competitive, and there was a general willingness to fund data initiatives.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company struggled significantly with onboarding and talent retention. BI work was often unfocused, with large budgets allocated to dashboards and requests that were ultimately never used. This led to a sense of wasted effort and lack of direction. Management was inconsistent or effectively absent, with high turnover making it difficult to maintain continuity. Critical tools and roadmaps were frequently changed or scrapped with each new leadership shift, making long-term progress nearly impossible.
