Some really great coworkers work there.

The GBS workload is like drinking from a fire hose. Along with a huge case load you are responsible to manage live chats, phone calls and 2.5 hours of inbox management time and client meetings. The workload is very busy and not sustainable which results in high turnover. (They are constantly recruiting to fill this role)The workload often forces agents to work through their 30 minute lunch break, which is the only break approved and your time is closely monitored. I witnessed a co-worker get reprimanded for being 2 minutes late, and wearing a hat to work that was just part of her outfit, nothing offensive. The culture is a culture of favoritism and micromanagement. The favorites have flexibility to work from home and bank hours to accommodate future time off. There are no written policies. No place to eat lunch but at your desk or in your car. The company is extremely cheap, no stationary supplies provided, you need to bring your own. Headsets are recyled and gross, and computers and montiors are old, unless you're in the IT group. A condition of employment is to obtain a CEBS designation. The company reimburses you for the cost of test when you pass but not the course, they do, provide you with a copy of the textbook A and a share access to IFEP site. In summary, this is a dead end job for anyone wishing to pursue a benefits specialist career.

Fast pace environment with lots of learning opportunities. Maintains a great company culture. They don't mirco manage and have confidence in their staff to manage our clients and work day. We use a clock in/clock out system to address days we can't work the full day due to appointments or being ill.

Rapid growth which can cause high volume if not staffed appropriately. Teams are spread out within the building.
