Wouldn't recommend to a friend. - Senior Technical Recruiter Eight Eleven Group Employee Review

Pros

I enjoyed the people I worked with in my office and truly felt they were my friends. There was a very strong "Sales" culture of heavy drinking and going out which a lot of people might enjoy. I learned a lot. It is fast paced and if you want to learn how to be tech recruiter quickly, this is a good way to do that.

Cons

Lack of Diversity. From the very first trip to their corporate office in Indianapolis I felt unbelievably uncomfortable with the fact that I was almost always the only person of color in the room. During my time with the company they said they were trying to adjust this by attempting to hire more people who were "diverse" but I never really saw them be intentional about this in a way that would actually make a difference. For example, the leadership team is made up of mostly white men and some white women as well. It's hard to be fully "bought into" a company that didn't seem to want to improve in the D&I space. The other con for me was the focus on drinking and "partying". I understand this is a draw for a lot of people but if this isn't really your thing, you might feel uncomfortable in this company. For example right after my interview they invited me out to a happy hour where I felt like they wanted to see if I would order a drink. I don't normally drink but I did in this case because it felt like a test. After I was hired and with the company for a few months, my manager told me that it was indeed a test and they wouldn't have hired me if I hadn't ordered an alcoholic beverage. This was a little bit off putting for me because I hate that it was a pass/fail part of the interview.
