Pros

Eight Eleven Group has grown tremendously in the last decade, mostly by expanding into new territories, branching off into other industries like finance, healthcare, engineering, etc. They have done a great job of promoting internally and growing individuals through training and development. They look to create a strong, almost cult like culture of "raving fans" and highlight the experience that they're giving everyone who interacts with the organization from front to backend.

Cons

The biggest issue with working for Eight Eleven Group is that they don't walk out what they preach. Their culture was built on then green college students who were new in the career and wanted the feeling of a corporate environment where spending time with co-workers and drinking at and after work were important. Those same individuals are now at the Manager/Director level with families and are looking for a flexible, supportive work environment that Eight Eleven has not grown to provide. Sales conferences and meetings that incorporate all night drinking binges, overnight trainings (where you share a hotel room with your same gendered co-workers....) and being in the office every single day are just a few of the ways that Eight Eleven says are foundational to their "culture" and will not change. This company will preach that there is nowhere better to work, but that is untrue. Additionally, the employees at Eight Eleven Group are some of the hardest working and best educated people that I know, and they are not being compensated accordingly. Since I've left this organization, I have had only 3 additional years of experience but have more than doubled my salary.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and honest feedback! Although, we are disappointed to hear that it was a negative one. Culture is everything here at Eight Eleven Group, which is why we strive to create a welcoming environment where all our employees feel empowered to be the best. We say “strive” because as you have mentioned, our work is far from finished. Cultural changes take time, but we believe we are taking the right steps. This includes the creation of our employee-led connection groups, joined together based on common backgrounds, identities, or interests to provide a safe space for conversation and development. We have also expanded our benefits to include mental wellness coverage, additional PTO, and parental leave for all employees, as well as tuition assistance for those who qualify. These are just some of our latest enhancements! As we continue to grow, so will the type of support and assistance we provide to our employees, consultants, and clients. Thank you again for your feedback, as it is reviews like this one that help us better align the needs of our employees with our plans for the future!
