Pros

You'll be part of a smaller, tight knit team and get to meet some real outliers as far as performance and personality (in a good way). The people that work here have talent and you can learn a lot from them. This was my first software dev job and I couldn't have asked for a more ideal environment in which to grow. As a dev, the atmosphere and projects changed just often enough that you couldn't get bored (this was pre-covid). Often we would work in the office, but other stretches we would work at a client’s office alongside their developers. These varied experiences will suit you well down the road (communication abilities and being able to see how others operate). When I was there they housed a wide array of skill levels as far as devs. I was among the most junior, but they also had talented mid and senior level devs (excellent to learn from and bounce occasional questions off of), as well as a mystical wizard who had negotiated 100% work from home well before anyone heard of COVID 19. Very quickly it really does feel like a family, even for myself who at the time was somewhat introverted. The people were kind and it's just a nice environment that, in my case, I found myself missing after leaving.

Cons

Looking back, I genuinely can't think of any, especially it being my first exposure into the industry.

Pros

-Great culture and open door policy. You could literally walk into the CEO or CTO's office and talk to them. -Management is willing to try and help you solve issues, but also let you have your autonomy. -The people working with you are smart, knowledgeable and approachable. -This is a great place to get your feet wet in web development or software industries. -This a relatively new company so you get to wear many hats, and no day is exactly the same. -You actually have the opportunity to make a difference here, even if you are straight out of school.

Cons

Some of the benefits and pay are lacking, but I know they were working on this when I was there. They are also still working on getting processes in place and defined, but that is normal for a new company that is growing. The pressure can be high, they expect you to come in on day one and hit the ground running. If you aren't ready for that, this may not be the place for you. Work/life balance tends to suffer as a consultant.
