Pros

Onsite Gym, outdoor tunnel to access the building in inclement weather.

Cons

They overlook current employees for promotions and instead of promoting from within (Not for myself but for others in the Information Security) and rely too much on their "inner circle" of friends withing the entire area and multiple departments of Information Security. Management keeps blowing smoke up the chain, the people who get work done and want to help make it a better environment are ignored. Unless you fake it to get along with certain key senior members on the teams they will brand you an outsider and let you rot in your job role. There is lots of criticism, no leadership, and managers tend to sit on their hands and let the controlling senior members run their teams. Although bad for employee morale and work ethic, they don't believe it when issues or concerns come up. Employees are constantly ignored for the "inner circle of trust" they have. There is no unity, there is no team. There is power and control Additionally, people writing fake reviews online to "bolster" their area at Anthem. People don't provide any substance to what they write to give people the truth about what is going on at the company, and it gives a false impression of things truly happening.

Pros

Good Benefits and insurance Groceries benefit School reimbursement Gym benefits Hospital indemnity Insurance Remote work convenience

Cons

Pay rate never really goes up. Prefer to promote inexperience outsiders than from within. Low pay At the whim of Manager Favoritism Political Pretentious Metrics based of friendship with Management Hard to move up of you don’t suck up to a Manager or be political or be part of their click and group. QIP is also at the whim of the manager. Faulty metrics where you are blamed for FCR failures even when you fixed the issue on your first call and but because the member called in multiple times to other associates who didn’t help. Or do their job, they blame you for first call resolution when you never talked to the member till you resolved it. This is really messed up and it affects your QIP.
